Eating Sand!

Blake loves being outside playing in the sandbox with Luke! Of course, he loves to touch and taste EVERYTHING! So, I thought I would take a few pictures to try and show the sand all over his face and mouth!

MMMmmmm! Yummy!
He just thinks playing outside in the sandbox is the best. Nothing seems to bother him out here! I even caught him trying to climb up on our retaining wall. The only thing I'm worried about is all the snails! OOhhh, I would just die if he put one in his mouth!
Our other big adventure today was Taylor getting her 5-year old Kindergarten shots! I went to register her for Kindergarten last week and was turned away because she didn't have all of her required shots yet. Luckily, her appointment was a week later so I wasn't too stressed about it. Her friend Abbie had her shots a while ago and told Taylor how awful it was. The physical went fine until the nurse came in to do the shots. Taylor kept saying, "mom, Abbie said it hurt really bad and that she cried." I kept trying to put her at ease so she wouldn't worry, but she took one look at the needles and began to scream! She screamed before, during, and after crying, "No, no, no, aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh, aaaaaaaaah, aaaaaaaahhhhh!!!!!" over and over and over again. It really was kind of funny. Poor girl. She really is doing much better now. The good news is that she can be registered for Kindergarten now! Yahoo!

I love the picture of Taylor...such a dramatic girl! Whenever I get shots, blood drawn, etc. I feel like screaming "nooooo....aaaaaaaaahhhh.....aaaahhhh" too! Wouldn't that be funny?

Look on the bright side...at least Taylor didn't pass out! Her lower lip reminds me of what the Sartori's use to say..."Watch out or a bird will poop on your lip!" You'll know just how much sand was eaten in a few diapers....mmmm good fiber!

Isn't if funny how family traits are passed down, I loved the picture of Blake and a mouthful of sand. I do hope you cleaned the "cat poop" out because cats seem to feel that a sand box is their private toilet just for them. Your mom really didn't like any kind of shots - even the veins in your arms when you would turn your arm over. She didn't scream but just quietly fainted, even before she was a year old. It always amazed me that she worked in a dentist's office. I quess she just toughened up over the years. Taylor's nooooo....aaaaaaaaahhhh...aaaahhh is so you Kimberly I do remember and Taylor is just like you - so very sensitive and tender.

Oh, we just had that appointment a few weeks ago, too. Hannah is still talking about it - and is very traumatized.

All worth it to send them off to school though!
