- I am thankful for a daughter who kindly reminds me that all of the other moms put notes in their kids' lunches at school and that she would like to have one as well.
- I am thankful for the 70's. Had the 70's not existed, I would not have been born AND Disco would have never been invented!! Without Disco, my substitute teaching life would be completely boring and I would not be the Rockstar on campus that all the kids make me out to be. The Rockstar image really suits me well...the second I am spotted, on campus, the kids start screaming my name and rush to hug me...it's a great self-esteem booster!
- I am thankful for the Jig-A-Lo game I learned at Cheer Camp back in 1992! One of these days I'll post a video...it's hilarious!
- I am thankful I read the entire TWILIGHT series and could attend the midnight movie premier with a bunch of screaming teens and my hubby!
- I am, seriously, thankful for cookie dough, doritos, and One Life to Live! On a bad day, those things always make everything better!
- And, last, but not least, I am thankful for an amazing husband, children, family and friends! Nothing feeds the soul more than good family and friends and knowing they are there for me when I need them!
Happy Thanksgiving!!

YEA!!! I'm the first this time. (smile) I'm so impressed with you! You really are a SUPERMOM! You teach an exercise class, you bake with our kids, you go on play days and what? Now you're teaching at school? There really isn't anything you can't do! (smile) I love it! Know what I'm thankful for? YOU!
Love ya
Aimee
I have already seen the movie twice can't wait to talk to you about it when we get there. I am bring my quilts up because mom wants to see them, I am having tons of fun with them. Can't wait to see you guys.
I am thankful for cute cousins who blog so I can keep up on their daily life. Happy holidays, girlfriend!
Loved your thanksgiving post. You are so funny and sweet! Devon is such a great husband to take you to Twilight. Scott has agreed to go with me, but is now trying to back out because of the reviews.
Hey! I want to learn the Jig-a-lo game. I haven't read Twighlight yet, but I guess it is about time. Since, the rest of the world has and the movie is out! I bet you are the best sub in the world. Oh, and I loved getting love notes in my lunch box too when I was little! Happy Thanksgiving! love ya! Carol
Great post! I got to be thankful about Twilight twice this weekend. Are we all crazy or what??
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
Im thankful that I am getting to know you better through this whole bloggin thing. Being thankful sure fills my bucket!
Have a good day!
You are so funny! I am also very thankful for cookie dough and doritos, but I wish it did for my figure what it has done for you!!
Kids are the cutest if we could all be so honest, about what we need.
What, are you wearing tight leather pants to school? I need more info. You are probably the hot teacher that all the little boys secretly have crushes on. That is funny. Thanks for the laugh.
I love your grattitude list - you're digging deep. Not the usual list of blessings, way to be original! Love it.
That was an AWESOME grattitude list. I am grateful for a lot of the same things. Instead of ice cream, I am thankful for ice cold coke an General Hospital, if I am having a bad day those two things can do me a lot of GOOD, along with a GOOD nap!!
Happy Thanksgiving!!!
I'm thankful to have a rockstar sister who definitely makes life more fun. You are the DANCIN' DISCO QUEEN! I really wish you were here. Love you!
I love this list! You are so funny! it must run in your family!
At any rate, I hope you and yours have a very Happy Thanksgiving!
Love your post Kimberly! I don't put notes in my kids lunches. I write on their lunch bags and I try to use a new/different word everyday that means "great" "wonderful" "supercalafragalistic" etc. You get the idea. I always sign it with a big heart and Love you Mum xxoo. I even do this when they are in highschool - even my boys! They love it aren't embarrassed. In fact, last year Alex came once and said "Mom, your either tired or losing but the girls in my English class told me you've used the same word twice this week. You'd better start mixing it up." That cracked me up! My girls had told me that their friends would always look to see what "word" I had used but I never thought the boys cared. I go to dictionary.com to help me out. Sometimes I have Fred write a note and he writes it in Dutch (his mission language) just to shake it up and then they have to wait until they get home for him to translate it. It's fun!! I love lunch bags! Oh, and I always draw this funky happy/smiley face. If the kids have braces I draw braces etc. If it's their birthday I draw extra little things and I am no artist!!!
Taylor's lunch bag comment inspired me to write my own blog on lunch bags. You need to read my story about Kira in high school.
I can totally see all those kids running to greet the "cool" teacher! Cute post! You are awesome. I am thankful for a daughter who can manage to stay positive even through the tough times. Sure do love you!
Your hubby is a rockstar for attending the Twilight premier with you. Mine wouldn't go anywhere near it, nor did I want him to. :-)
Funny, funny post!
Awwww, I love your list! And, I'm right there with you on the Doritos, Twilight, and DISCO;o) Happy Holidays!
What a fun post! I think that it would be GREAT to feel like a rock star, even just for a day (in fact I think that's all I could handle). And didn't you just LOVE Twilight? So good!
I'm glad you found some very important things to be thankful for. The rock star image does suit you...especially with the elementary school kids. It worked for Miley Cyrus. Happy Thanksgiving.
how many people get to be a rockstar?? That is so cool!!!
