I used all kinds of bribery to get them to sit, smile, pose, hold still, etc.
When I finally pulled out the M&M's, Blake would only sit still long enough to chew his candy and then ask for another.
Why is this always such a feat?
Seriously! What's the deal with all the open mouths, hands on the face or in the air, and so on?
I just wanted 5 minutes with a few good pictures...is that too much to ask? Geez!

Some of those faces are exactly like faces I swear I've seen you make! I guess I know where they got them from.
I LOVE your pictures! The kids look so adorable!! I have hundreds of pictures that have been taken in hopes of getting one good one:) I love their outfits...TOO CUTE!
What cute kids!!! They look excited for Christmas. I love that you bribed Blake with M&M's. Looks like it worked! By the way...Tay's hair is getting sooo long and pretty! It's fun to see pictures.
How could something so hard turn out sooooo cute, and happy???? Sweet picture, cute family and so ready for Christmas.
Yes, mine only pose for cold, hard cash these days. It annoys me to not end. And just think, in a few years, these crazy pictures will be your favorites. Trust me on that.
I think they're great. I love pictures that truly capture personality, which mellow smiling pictures dont do. These pictures are priceless and like Christie said, one day they will be your favorites!
I hear you. I get so mad every year for the Christmas picture. We don't even try hard any more. Scott swaps heads with Photoshop. This year I even got photoshoped because I was looking mad when most others looked pretty good.
Your kids look cute in the pictures you posted though.
The pictures are priceless and such a wonderful way of preserving the moment. You are such a cute mom and am so proud of you. Love you very much
GRANDMA GREAT
I think your kids are just oozing with personality and they've gotta let it show!
We are not coming to SL for Christmas - too bad, I would love to see you too! Actually, my family is coming to Louisiana for the U of U bowl game in New Orleans. So . . . another non-traditional holiday for me! :)
I love the pictures! Your kids are so cute! Blake reminds me of Matthew a little. By the way, taking family pictures is the most stressful thing I do all year. We did our family pictures last week, to give everyone for Christmas. I thought I was all planned out. I laid everyone's clothes out the night before-who knew Turner would outgrow his black shoes so quickly. Long story short, Turner broke all fashion rules wearing black pants and brown shoes that day. So much for planning.
Christmas is the BEST! Your kids are adorable. Hope your family is enjoying the holiday.
What are you talking about? I love the hands on face, open mouth pictures! They look really cute....Taylor is gorgeous!
Personally I think they are darling and it shows their personalities! Some day you'll be glad they took some pictures like this. :D
I love the open mouths. And Luke looks older. Maybe his hair is different. I think the pictures are great.
So cute though, but I totally understand wanting some smiles, I am having a hard time with Gwenie sitting still.
Wow! What adorable pics! You got some great ones! I especially like the surprised looks...perfect for Christmas morning!
No matter what faces they make they are just so precious! I love them ALL!
yes, I get crazed when I get set on trying to get a decent picture of just 2 kids. I think 3 would be impossible! Their pictures are so cute!
