Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house
Every child was strung out on candy and leaping and running all about the house.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care
While the children (already strung out on sugar and candy) decorated cookies for Santa to share.
The family anxiously awaited turkey and trimmings to eat
While myself and grandma hurried to get it ready--it was quite the feat!
After opening Christmas Eve PJ's and getting the children all snug in their beds
Santa, and his helper, hurried to wrapped presents in blues, silvers, and reds.
Almost ready for Christmas, interrupted with sounds of screaming, while still wrapping presents,
I ran down the stairs to find a little one crying and throwing up, what seemed to be, gallons.
With a bath, some kisses, and new clean pajamas
We were ready to sleep deep without any shouts or yo mamas!

Without much sleep, Christmas morning finally arrived,
The children were giggling and full of jive!
Traditional pictures on the stairs was a must,
And then off to open presents starting with the youngest.
The air was filled with lots of ooh's and aah's,
And when it was over, I sighed with a pause...
The joy of Christmas is wonderful and sweet,
and this year we enjoyed it and felt quite complete!

Cute pics as always! I just missed a girl's night out to watch Mama Mia. Now that I see you got your own copy, I really want to watch it.
Cute poem! Glad your little one recovered in time for Santa. It looks like you had such a fun time!
It's about time you put up some xmas pics! Everyone looks so cute. I am glad that you guys are carrying on the family tradition of the pic on the stairs!
Look at you and your cute poem! I love it. Sorry about the puking child though. Nobody wants that for Christmas.
So was the throwing up for too much candy or the real flu? That is terrible! I like the poem. I like your pictures too. When I first looked at them I thought you got your hair cut super short. You must have just pulled it back though because it looks long in the other picture. I was thinking you were pretty daring to go that short.
Christmas is always so much work, it is sad when it ends so fast. Looks like you had a great one!
I see that Taylor is holding my favorite doll. It's not Christmas without at least one niece/nephew throwing up!
Nice...yo mama! BTW, I think you need to change your music...it's been "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" way too long!
What a fun poem! Another talent you've got! It looks like you had a great Christmas, puke and all. The joys of children!!!
I am sorry you had a sick child on Christmas. You know I don't deal well with throwing up.I'm getting better now that I'm a mom. It's looks like you still enjoyed Christmas. I'm glad you guys had such a wonderful Christmas. We had a good one too! Turner keeps asking when it will be Christmas again and is really sad that our chocolate advent calendar is gone.He still thinks that we should do that each day.
It did go fast didn't it? I love all of your pictures!
You always have such cute posts! I can't believe it's over already, too! My kids are already asking when the next Christmas will be!
YAY! You have inspired me to get my Christmas post done...I have been putting it off and worried it was too late:) It is such an overwhelming thing to blog about--just sooo many pictures to go through! Your poem was wonderful! Your family is so adorable:)
Wow, I'm so impressed with your poem! What a cute way to document Christmas at your house. And I love the stair shot. I used to get sick every Christmas. I think it was a combination of excitement and not eating for a long time. That is never fun to have to deal with. I still have not done my Christmas post for the same reasons as Aly. But maybe soon!
Cute poem. Such talent!! Christmas was over way too quickly. Hopefully we'll make it through one Christmas without anyone getting sick. It was so great to be together. Sure do love you!
that was one cute poem! And barf and Christmas go hand in hand don't they? I love that picture of all of you in your jammies. (and sleepy faces) TOO CUTE!
Cute pictures and cute poem!! Miss you!!
