Yesterday, as I was greeting all of my cute Kindergartners for PE, one little girl came up and gave me a HUGE hug and afterward said:
(as she stared at my neck) "What's that?"
I was wearing my whistle and assumed she was talking about the string attached to it that I was wearing around my neck. So, I said:
"Oh, that's the string for my whistle."
She continued to look insistently at my neck and pointed and said, "No, what's that???!!!"
I turned and looked where her finger was pointing.
She was pointing to the huge mole that I have on the back of my neck.
I said to her, "Oh, that's just my mole."
She said, "Well, why don't you just POP it or something!"
Nice.
Kindergartners definitely aren't afraid to tell you how it is...
I think it's time to have my mole removed!

Oh my goodness! Kids aren't afraid to say anything, are they?
Wow! Makes me wonder how we were as kids. I remember when I was a teenager my 5 year old cousin asked me what all the red spots were on my face and that they were ugly. Maybe honesty isn't the best policy! :)
HAA!! That's great! Thanks for sharing! Kids are so honest...gotta love em!
Good thing you can't pop moles... Gross.
Dito to what Michael said.
I am always amazed at what kids say, they are a crack up.
Just keepin' it real, that's all. :)
That makes my fingers tingle. Just the thought of trying to pop it!!!! AAUGH! KIDS!
Hah hah.. this was hilarious! :D Yep, they are way honest... sometimes TOO honest.
Kids really do keep things interesting.
That is so funny. When I was in first grade, I told my mom's friend that my mom's other friend was saying bad things about her. I told her all the details, too, with my great memory. I don't remember ever getting scolded for that, so I asked my mom recently. She said it was better that the two got to fight it out instead of each coming to my mom and complaining.
Ha ha! Thinking about popping your mole makes me sick, too! GROSS! I know what mole you're talking about...kids are so honest!
I have too many moles! And here is the funny part...Annie LOVES them!!
She keeps wishing she could grow some of her own:)
Wow, that is hilarious, and the fact that she told you to pop it, hahaha...priceless. As kids my younger brother and sister felt that it was their place to be my personal fashion consultants. They had no problem telling me my outfit was ugly. Oh, the joys of being an older sister.
I have a little red mole/dot on my neck and Nicky was just staring at it one morning. She looked horrified and told me I was bleeding and needed a bandaid. Just the way she was looking at me made me feel like I was disgusting so I totally get how you must have felt. I am so excited to see you soon. Let me know when you decide what you are doing with your friend. I could ask my brother if you could stay at his house. I'm sure it would be fine. If not, we can meet up tons for classes and what not. Fun times!
Kids say such funny things. Day before yesterday, Madison (my neice) pointed to a picture of me and says "that's you huh?"
I said yes, so she says
"Yeah, you USED to be pretty."
So I said "Yeah"
The next day I wore make-up. :)
what-do-ya-do
Ha!Ha! I used to have a very light mole just under my nose. After more than one of my lovely children telling me it looked like a piece of snot under my nose I decided to get it removed. :D Gotta love those kids!!
