Luke kept saying "This is the BEST vacation EVER, Daddy!"
He was right! Some of the things that made it the BEST vacation EVER were...
- Flip Flops, short-sleeves, and shorts
- Disneyland for FREE (yes, my friends it is good to have connections!)
- Great Mexican Food!!
- Bagels and the Beach
- Rosy sun-kissed cheeks and chests (actually, I look like a Lobster, but love it!)
- All of us sleeping in the same room together
- Finding out my brother, Michael, is ENGAGED...woo-hoo!
- Kids jumping off of Hotel beds onto mattresses on the floor
- Sand in the bottom of the tub that I don't have to clean
- Sand in our toes
- The smell of sunscreen
- Playing in the tide pools
- Meeting up with a few old friends (sorry to those we missed, we couldn't see everyone!)
- Just being together...it's the best place to be!

Hey! I am so glad you guys were able to go back and visit! It sounds like you had so much fun. Now I want to go to the beach. See you in a month!

I'm so glad you got some California sun!! And Disneyland for free...well, can't beat that price! There's something amazing about a beach break that helps with the winter blues..ahhh..I miss it already!
Sounds like a fun trip! I am ready for one, too. We are going to the indoor water park in Northern Idaho. Not as cool as the beach, but will do for now.
Sounds so FUn!!! We are off in one week for some FUN in the CA sun and the kids cannot wait to go to disneyland... Glad that you got a FUN little vacation with your family. :)

I'm glad you guy got to get out of town and do something fun! Sounds so nice. I bet Disneyland was a blast. I wish we would have taken pictures together when we saw you guys. What was I thinking?
I'm jealous/wish I could've gone. Just what you need, right? Me tagging along. Just hearing you describe the ocean air made me homesick for CA.
Sounds like you guys had a great time. I'm so glad you got a vacation. Don't worry about not seeing us. Trips are short and it is hard to squeeze everything in. But don't ever feel bad about making us drive to OC. We'd be happy to. I'm looking forward to Utah trip and seeing you again. Fun times!

What a fun trip! I bet it was so nice to be back for a visit. Every night in Carson's prayers, he asks that we can go to Disneyland. I am just as anxious for that prayer to come true!

What a fun trip!! We are heading to Utah for conference. It's ended up being quite a crazy trip with married kids wanting to meet up on different days etc. but if we have time and the way back through maybe we can stop by for a quick visit. Fred has to fly out the next day so it wouldn't be for long. I'll keep you posted as to whether it will work out!! Congrats to Michael!! When's the wedding?
Mmmmmmmmm the ocean. There really is nothing like it. I feel the same way about the mountains. My eyes would actually ache sometimes to see them when we lived in TX.

Like I have said so many times....Disneyland is the happiest place on earth!!! Can't wait to see pics.
I miss the smell of the ocean and the warm days and cool nights. someday I will go there again - I hope.
