The Infamous Eggs

My kids have a long history with Easter Eggs! It all began 3 or so years ago when my parents did an easter egg hunt at their house for easter. Taylor loved the eggs and they were the first thing she would pull out of the cupboard every time we would arrive at their house. I don't know what it is about the eggs that is so fun, but the kids loooove them! My dad used to put half of an egg on each of Taylors ears and have her walk around the house. I do have to say dad got really into it too and would put the eggs on his ears and nose to make her laugh. Then, Luke came along and joined in on the egg fun. My mom, however, would cringe every time the kids would dump out the basket of easter eggs. I would always think to myself, "gosh, what's the big deal? We'll just pick them up later." Well, history has re-written itself and now that Nanu and Grandpa live in Tennessee, there have been no more eggs to play with. So, the other day, I was at the store with Luke and he saw some plastic easter eggs that he wanted to buy and I told him I had some at home that he could have later. I thought he would forget about the eggs once we got home, but as soon as we walked in the door he insisted that I find the easter eggs. I went ahead and pulled them out of the easter container they had been stored in and gave them to him to play with. They have been a household hit for the last week, but I do have to say I HATE the eggs! I never knew what the big deal was, but I am finding egg halves everywhere! Just when I think they have all been picked up, I find more under the couch, in the couch, in the hall, the bathroom sink (yes, Luke has been washing the eggs and filling them with water), the stairs, under the kitchen table and behind the highchair--they are everywhere! Now I know why my mom cringed every time the eggs got dumped out! But, I do have to say that Blake looks really cute with eggs on his ears! Where's Grandpa when you need him?

You need to post a picture of Blake with the eggs on his ears. I think Parker's getting tired of his toys...maybe we need some eggs!

Stupid eggs. They were like those crabs I brought home from the beach that one summer; I would find them everywhere.
