Sunday alwasy seems like the perfect day for a walk at the beach, so we try to take advantage of the opportunity as much as possible. The weather at home was warm and sunny, but when we got to the beach it was very overcast, windy, and cold. It's amazing how much the weather can change just 10-15 minutes down the freeway! Luckily, we had packed the kids jackets and blankets in the car. When we arrived on shore, the tide was really low, so there were a ton of tidepools to explore. We saw 3 starfish, shrimp, fish, sea urchants, crabs, and mussels. The kids were so wrapped up in exploring that they didn't even seem cold. In fact, I think I was the only one who complained about the cold and was ready to go home. All in all, it was a really fun outing and an enjoyable Sunday.
