For those of you who don't know "Beary," let me introduce you. My senior year in high school, Devon gave me this adorable bear with our Homecoming picture on it as a present for Christmas. I remember opening the gigantic box with this huge bear inside wondering what the heck I was going to do with it. Then, I graduated and went to Ricks. I made my parents pack the big bear in the car with all of my stuff. I'm sure my parents were secretly rolling their eyes thinking this was the most riddiculous thing to have to pack and take to school. But, I was so in love with Devon that I wanted everything I owned and that reminded me of him with me. At school, I perched the bear up on a shelf in my room (Carol, do you remember that?) along with all of my pictures of Devon and I. It's hard to believe I still have this bear, but the kids love it! Taylor has used this bear as her sleeping pal for quite some time now. She named him "Beary." Not too long ago, Taylor was really sick and threw up, during the middle of the night, all over him. We thought that might be the end of Beary. Luckily, Devon rushed him outside (during the middle of the night) and sprayed him off with the hose. We didn't know if that would save Beary or if he would forever wreak of throw up. Taylor has been so sad and missed sleeping with Beary at night. Now, after what has seemed like forever (maybe 2 months), Beary has aired out, no longer smells like throw up, and is saved! HALLELUJAH!

I remember that bear! I thought it was so cool when Devon gave it to you! I'm a little grossed out by the throw up story, but I'm glad Beary is saved! I can just picture Devon outside in the middle of the night trying to save this "token of love". So funny!
Yeah, that's really funny that Devon saved the bear in the middle of the night. One time I went to the prom while mom and dad were out of town. I drove the pathfinder, and after the dance as I was driving home, I saw a can in the middle of the road, so I decided I'd run it over. It ended up being a beer can, and it was full of beer. I dropped my date off, went home, and at like three in the morning I was out in the driveway rinsing off the car. I didn't want to drive a car to church the next day that smelled like beer. Sister (Maurine) Love would've had a hay-day with that one... Steve Plett probably thought I was crazy and was thinking about calling me and telling me to turn off the water so he could sleep!
I can't believe you still have that bear...I totally remember it! I guess that you get to save those type of things when you marry your HS sweetheart, I think I burned all of mine. Jk! Throw up is the worst! You are so LUCKY that it aired out and is usable again!
Ok so beary has been saved...is he machine washable? (You know me!) I remember stuffing that bear in the van and as we got closer to the college we got lots of understanding looks from the others moms and dads. Do you remember how long we spent setting up your dorm room? That was my first experience dropping a child off at college...what an experience! You did not want to be there!! I think you've forgiven us now, but at that time you felt very abandoned. Good thing we took that silly bear!
