Memories From This Week...

These are just a few highlights and memories from my week!
  • Luke's night time prayers..."Heavenly Father, thank you for our blessings, thank you for the planet earth, thank you for Heavenly Father and Jesus--we know he has bones, we know we have the Holy Ghost, and Daddy can go to work and make money, and thank you for our presents--please bless them."
  • Devon going back to work--I really miss having my full-time (as Devon likes to call it) "Manny" around.
  • Blake and Luke each standing on opposite ends of the couch and then jumping off toward the middle of the couch and wrestling. All the while, I am thinking someone is hurt or going to be seriously hurt and they think they are having the time of their lives.
  • Taylor screaming, "MOOOMMM!!! Blake has a lightbulb in his mouth!" Immediately after leaving the room from retrieving the night light lightbulb from his mouth, I hear, again, "MOOOMMM!!! Blake is running with scissors!" Oh, my gosh! The drama and chasing kids around never ends!
  • Bouncing around in the car to Luke's favorite song, "Pop Goes My Heart." Between TransFormers and Pop Goes My Heart, he is well on his way to being the next 80's icon!
  • Blake folding his arms and squeezing his eyes closed tight for family prayer. Even though it's only for 2-3 seconds, it is just so cute!
  • Taylor's night time prayers...she never forgets to bless everyone in her family AND the planet earth.
  • While making cupcakes with Luke and Blake, I was dancing, while listening to a few of my favorite songs and invited them to dance along with me. Lukes response was, "I can't, I don't want to mess up my hair."
  • Watching Taylor bounce up and down at Tap class.
  • While the kids were quietly (or so I thought) coloring at the kitchen table, I walked in and saw Luke holding Blakes hair up with one hand and had open scissors, right next to his hair, in the other hand, ready to chop. I shouted, "AAaaahhh...we don't ever cut people's hair!" He said, "Why?????" He was totally puzzled! He just couldn't understand why we don't cut peoples hair. I was just glad I walked in when I did, who knows what kind of mess Blake's hair would have been in.
  • Michael's visit. He played with the kids and made them laugh and smile a lot!
  • And, last...the 80-year old woman, in my Pilates class, who farted, very loudly, 3 times! It didn't seem to bother her, but I was very embarrassed for her!

This list CRACKED.ME.UP. Oh, my goodness, I was laughing so hard. The lightbulb, the hair cutting, the prayers. They are just ADORABLE.

And please tell me that if I have the strength to do Pilates at age 80, I have the strength to control THAT.

Running with scissors and lightbulb in a mouth... yep, life with kids. Just today George lost Emma in a grocery store, because he was paying the bill and she run away, and he was looking for her about two minutes.. which to him felt like FOREVER! And yes, he was starting to freak out. Thank goodness he found her. So, what can I say.. life never gets boring when you have kids, that's for sure!

That was so funny...I can't believe the lady in your class. Maybe she didn't hear it and has lost sensation in that area or something. Funny lady and funny kids...I wish Luke WOULD have cut Blake's hair. That would make for an even funnier blog!

Your kids are so adorable. I can totally see Blake and Luke colliding on the couch. Glad you saved Blake's hair from the scissors. Funny with the 80 year old farting. I hope I am still up for pilates when I am 80. That is awesome.

I guess if you make it to 80 and can still do Pilates you are entitled to do whatever else you want?? I love that your children bless mother earth. They will really get into earth day in years to come! Luke's prayers are so cute. Kedrick rarely mentions anything in his prayers other than his toys. Nice save on the hair!

I can't wait for the next blog it is so fun to read about the kids and you. As far as the 80 year old lady farting what a scary thought that I am getting close to the magic age of 80 I do hope that I don't lose my hearing and senses all together.
