Seriously! This is why we live here! It was 95 degrees at the beach, and, since we live only 8 miles away, we just couldn't resist!

For some reason, there were oodles of ladybugs. Blake was obsessed with them and even had one that he let crawl all over his body.

In fact, he was so busy that I couldn't get one good picture of him from the front.

Favorite quotes from the last two days...
Luke: "Mama, I'm swallowing my food down my bath tub drain in my mouth."
After Taylor woke up, VERY early in the morning and wouldn't go back to sleep, she said: "I can't go back to sleep...I'm as awake as a tree. Trees never sleep, so why should I?"

Luke looks EXACTLY like Michael and dad in that picture! I miss the beach!!!!
I can't wait go, I just need to convince some friends that they want to go too. Cute Cute pics, at least Blake was out of your hair and was interested in the ladybugs.
I told Melodie about how you wished you had a grandparent around to babysit, especially overnight, she felt really bad for you!!
Wow 95 degrees?! How fun for you guys to get live only 8 miles from the beach!!
That looks like heaven!! We were gonna build a huge sandbox in our backyard to pretend we had a beach...until our kids came home from the neighbors covered in sand!! We decided to just plant grass to build the playground on!! How wonderful to live so close and not track it in your house!!
You have no idea how insanely jealous I am right now. I would sell my right leg for 95 degrees and a day at the beach. And the pics of the kids? Adorable.
Love the comments of the kids. Keep posting all of the cute things that they say and do. 95 degrees at the beach is just a little bit too warm for me but love your weather.
Yeah, Luke has dad's eyebrows in that picture. Anyway, I am very jealous. And why were there so many ladybugs?
Sounds like fun! Kelly's favorite place is the beach. If he had his way, he would move to Southern California just for that! Too bad we aren't closer!
I've noticed tons of lady bugs lately too. They are so cute. I also loved the weather this weekend. It was so perfect.
What a fun day, ladybugs and all! I guess I've never thought about the fact that trees don't sleep. Remind her of that when she's 16 and really WANTS to sleep! Fun post!
so excited to start taking the kids to the beach! I think this summer they might not run away from me...we'll see! You got some cute pics of your kids!
Hey, Taylor, Trees do sleep!! It's been winter here and believe, they are asleep.. Now it's spring they are awakening and it's so nice.. little baby leaves and new blossoms, wow, it SPRING.
I'm not a sleeper and so I think I'll have to come up with something as clever to say to Grandpa when he wants to know why I'm not asleep or getting up at 5:00 am. Love all of you , Grandma DowDell
