In honor of my mom, on her birthday, I wanted to share a few of my favorite "mom" memories!
My mom has always been very nurturing! In fact, all the neighbor kids loved her...all the girls in the neighborhood would come over to have her do their hair.
I've never doubted that my mom loves me because she always tells me and shows me...she loves all of her children (however, I am the favorite or at least I like to think so!).
She is very patient. One time, I was experimenting in the kitchen, trying to bake my own cake, and put it in the microwave...sparks zapped all over inside and when she found out she didn't get mad at me.
After me and my friends would spend hours making up dances, to Paula Abdul, she would sit and watch us perform and love every second...even if the dance went on and on and moves were repeated!
She has always been my biggest fan!
We loved singing together...we thought we would be the next "Judd's."
I, also, really love her Valentines Day Cookies!

Thank you so much for that sweet post. I had to laugh at all those GREAT hairstyles! Seriously, why doesn't anyone tell us when we look so ridiculous!! You have always been my tenderhearted little girl. Taylor is just like you, which means you are in store for lots of fun memories, minus the chicken pox (thank heavens). That picture is priceless. I remember all those pictures as if they were taken yesterday. As much as I hate getting older, I wouldn't trade my life for anything! Thank you, thank you! I couldn't ask for anything more! I love you!
I LOVE your mom rocking the 70s. Very, very hip. What a great tribute! You all got one pretty terrific lady for a mom.
The real question is, where did you get all of those pictures? I'm a little jealous. I'm glad I only got one pock when I got the chicken pox. I really lucked out with that one. That was a good tribute. Happy birthday, mom!
That is a nice post about your mom. I love the old pictures. I love the one with the Calamine lotion. Chicken pox were the worst! I'm glad my mom scared me to death about scratching them too.
Yeah...where did you get all those pictures? Mom looks so young...how funny!!! Well, she still looks young, but you know! I loved the tribute...funny that we remembered lots of the same things. Happy Birthday Mom!
What a great tribute! I had to laugh at her rockin' haircuts. My mom always had the biggest beehive on the block. :-)
I thin your mom looks so much like Robyn in lot of those pics and you look like Taylor.
Those hairstyles are GREAT! I will have to make sure my girls don't have access to any old pictures of me!
Okay, I just looked at the cute letters you did for your friend- are you taking orders for sayings because I'm looking for some- let me know!
You and Robyn have a lot of good memories of your mom! Your pictures were great too. I wish I knew how to put non-digital pictures on the computer! Maybe I could use grandma's computer book?! Anyway, I really enjoyed reading and looking at your post. You guys have a great family!
What a cute post! It's funny the things that stick out in your mind as a kid! I remember her coat with the blue on it and those couches, curtains, and kitchen chairs!! You guys are the cutest family ever!!
What a wonderful tribute to your Mom. She is one of the greatest people I know. I miss those days of being right around the corner from your house and all you guys are little and not so far away...
The pictures are priceless.
Love ~ LaDean
I totally forgot that our moms had the same b'day! What a great post! I will always remember your mom as my YW president. I just loved her!
