Dotake as many pictures as you can to ensure that it "looks" like you had a good time! You really did have a great time despite the aching toes from walking, sore back from carrying kids, and headache from small ones whining. Don't expect to pay any less than $32 for the family to eat lunch and $4 for a cup of hot chocolate that isn't hot and very watered down!
Doadore your children (even if they whine and cry because their feet hurt, they're tired of walking and standing in line) and how cute they are when their faces light up with excitement and appreciate the fact that they still love spending every minute with you!
Don'tgo to Disneyland without two strollers! Otherwise, one (30+ lb.) child will end up being carried much more than you had planned. Especially, the final mile walk back to the hotel...ouch!
Do make mental note to self: "do not have any more children until older children are capable and willing to walk all day at Disneyland!"
Don'teat the pizza while at California Adventure...it's disgusting!
Do remember to take advantage of ALL ride-share passes and fast passes!
Don'tbe surprised when you run into your Aunt Sandy (and her family), your sister-in-law, and Brian and Brenna Smith! I mean, who ever sees people they know at Disneyland!
Dobe surprised when your 21-month old is completely mesmerized and in love with the giant characters walking around the park because the other two were always fearful.
Don't be surprised that your husband still loves you despite your moments of crankiness. Also, Don't be surprised when you go through the pictures from your trip and find many shots taken by him of your back side...proof, again, that he loves you!
Doget lots of sleep to recover and gear up for another trip back next year because we love Disneyland and it's always a BLAST!
Hey, Darc, for some reason I was having trouble posting this blog...as you can tell all of the paragraphs are different...and the pictures were taking FOREVER to load! The picture of us with you guys was supposed to be last, but I gave up! That's why I put the link to look at yours...sorry!
Good advice! We are actually taking a trip to Disneyland in a couple of weeks!! We're excited, but a little weary, too. I am already tired thinking about it. I just can't wait to see Lukas' face when he gets to see Buzz Lightyear or other characters he loves! :)
The last time we went to Disneyland is when Parker and Blake were 3 months old! I would love to take Parker now...I love seeing magical places through the eyes of a child!
I love pictures! You can totally re-interpret them after a trip is over. I look at the Florida ones now and feel like our trip was so fun when really most of it stunk. But the pictures are so cute and some of the memories are funny so oh well. You can't have perfect outings every time. On a side note, I can't believe you went to Disneyland during Spring Break. Wasn't it awfully crowded? My brother and family are going this week and we refused.
So is that why you haven't called me for a long time? Just kidding. I'm jealous that you got to go to Disneyland. Maybe next year I'll skip class to come with you! Just what you want, I'm sure.
I love Disneyland!!! I'm so glad you guys were able to go. Those Pilates classes have paid off, if you were able to carry Blake around all day! I wouldn't have been able to do it. Cute pictures!
Oh my gosh! It sounds like you had such a blast! I am so excited to take my kids to Disneyland but we have vowed we won't go until the youngest is 3. My husband says he needs to be in therapy because his folks never took him. :-)
This is so cute! Your family is adorable and I'm so glad you 'look' like you had a fun time cuz I'm sure it means you really did...even amidst all the whining and achy feet. I'm glad to learn too that my kids are not the only ones that are working at mastering the art of whining! ;o) Great tips on taking kids to an amusement park! And I LOL at the photos of your backside your sweetie took! That's too cute!
That's such great advice! Funny how sometimes it sounds like Disneyland is a bit more work for parent. Actually we are going there next week for 5 days...and although I am excited I am dreading all the walking and exhaustion that will inevitable accompany the trip!
I married my high school sweetheart and together we have one adorable, high maintenance girl and three very cute boys. Two, of which, are very crazy and active. Our newest addition is Baby Jack. He was born with Down Syndrome, melts our hearts and we fall more and more in love with him every day. A few of my guilty pleasures are ZUMBA, Ice Cold Coke, and Reality TV. If you want to witness waterworks...play me a good country music song. I love spending time with my family and enjoy each and every day, here, in our paradise!

How fun! Disneyland is the happiest place on earth! Despite all the the work it takes to be there! Our kids love Disneyland too! Such fun memories!

Your trip looks like lots of fun! You can't see your aching back, head and toes in the pictures! I'm sure it was a fun time.
