We have been exploring the outdoors and finding new and different things to do here in Southern Utah.
Our most recent adventure was driving up the canyon and stopping by the river to throw rocks.
Some of the highlights were:
- Running water always makes you have to pee
- Clay, when wet, is very slippery and does not wash out of clothes well
- Devon insisting on digging up a very huge rock because he just "had to take it home"
- Thank goodness for crocks!
- Don't let the kids use the camera to take pictures, it always ends in disaster!
- There's nothing like bonding as a family while throwing rocks in the river

I love the mud on the tushy picture. That looks like fun. You guys look like you are camping. All that is missing is Devon setting up the tent and having a rotten night's sleep.
Asha was all excited to see that Taylor has the same jacket as her. Looks like a fun day.
Isn't that read sand/clay so much fun to clean? I know the same kind of dirt is in Kauai and you can die 25 t-shirts with 1 cup!!
I'm not sure what the facination is with water and the instinct of throwing rocks in it! And they have to be boulders of course, not just little pebbles!
Yes, clay is awful stuff when it comes to clothes. My kids have "camping clothes." We use them for all fun, messy, out-door activities. Holy cow Taylor looks like you! I've always seen the resemblance, but some of these latest pictures-geeze.
So fun, that is one of the things that is nice about living in Utah, you can't get that here in Cali. The kids are so cute.
How fun. If it involves mud or water, my kids are all over that! I'm glad you are finding Utah life a little more fun! :)
Ah, who would have ever thought that throwing rocks in a river could be so much fun! Thanks for pointing that out! Missed you!
I love all your insights into life - you're always right on - peeing in running water and all!
What has Devo done with his rock since he dug it out? I hope it's not collecting dust somewhere.
